1. At the end of the regular season, the six members who have accumulated the
most points will be awarded a spot on the State Team to represent the RISING
STARS BASSMASTERS at the Regional Qualifying and State Tournaments.
2. Starting at seventh place and continuing in numerical order until the team
is established will determine alternates for the State Team. Boaters and
non-boaters will be determined by order of ranking. Places 1st, 2nd, and
3rd will be boaters. Places 4th, 5th and 6th will be non-boaters. A
boater may pass his boating privilege onto a non-boater beginning with 4th
place.
3. In the event of a tie in total points among the members, the tie will be
broken by first evaluating the total weight of the fish caught by each
individual, the heavier weight being the winner. If a tie remains, then
the total number of fish weighed in will be evaluated, the individuals with the
most fish being the winner. If a tie remains, then the average tournament
finish will be evaluated, the individual with the highest average finishes
being the winner. If this method fails to break the tie, a 4-hour
fish-off will be conducted under the direction and supervision of the
Tournament Director to break the tie in order to determine the members of the
State Team.
4. In the event that there is a tie in total points among members not
qualifying for the State Team, those members shall share the position.
5. An alternate will REPLACE any State Team member who does not fish the
Regional Qualifying tournament for any reason other than;
a. Hospitalization
b. Death of a family member
c. Work.
6. Affected members may appeal their replacement before the Chapter at the next
available Chapter meeting. The appeal and decision shall be voted on and
passed by two-thirds of the voting present membership.
7. Members of the State Team shall appoint a Team Captain to insure tournament
registration and arrangements.
8. Requirements for representatives of the RISING STARS BASSMASTERS during the
Regional, State, and Southern Divisional tournaments must comply with ARTICLE
