ARTICLE IV: CHAPTER MEETING

SECTION 1: REGULAR MEETINGS*
1. Shall be held the first Friday of each month, unless it falls on a holiday, then it will be held on the second Friday. One monthly meeting, scheduled by the tournament committee, shall be held during the Chapter picnic. The official start time of this meeting shall be at 5:00pm. In the event a member misses the picnic/meeting, they shall meet Article IV: Line 7.
2. The meeting shall officially begin at 7:00 p.m. and shall end at the conclusion of the monthly business. A member shall be counted as in attendance of the monthly meeting once it starts. If a member is going to be late, there will be a 15 minute grace period provided said member contacts an officer of the chapter prior to or within the grace period. Member shall remain in attendance until the the monthly meeting is over or lose their points for that meeting.
3. The meeting date, time, and/or place may be deferred, canceled, or moved due to availability of meeting place, adverse weather conditions, holidays, etc. for the convenience of the majority of members.
4. All Chapter members shall help maintain cleanliness of the Chapter meeting room, immediately after the adjournment of Chapter meeting.
5. All Chapter members attending regular monthly meetings shall receive 10 points for each meeting attended from February through November of the calendar year. In the event that the last tournament of the year is held in October, points accumulation for the November meetings will not be deducted or awarded.  (No points shall be accrued for the January and December meetings).
6. Chapter meeting point’s accumulation shall be based on 9 of 10 months (one month is dropped).
7. Members meeting the following stipulations shall be excused from and shall receive 10 points for each meeting missed provided the member notifies an officer in advance or within 3 days after the missed meeting.
a. Due to hospitalization
b. Death of a family member
c. Work

d. Attendance in Night School / College

e. Other reasons can be brought before the Chapter to decide if the member should receive the 10 points for the missed meeting.  Approval must be by two-thirds majority of the voting membership present.
8. The presence of or the consumption of drugs or alcoholic beverages shall be strictly prohibited at any regular Chapter meeting and shall cause expulsion from meeting of violating person/persons.
SECTION 2: EMERGENCY MEETINGS *
1. Any member may call an emergency meeting, but he must have the verbal acceptance of such meeting by two-thirds majority of the membership.
2. The minutes of any emergency meeting shall be recorded by the Secretary/Treasurer or the acting Secretary/Treasurer, and reported on in their entirety at the next regular Chapter meeting and recorded in the Chapter meetings.
3. Any Officer may call for an emergency meeting for Officers or members provided he has verbal acceptance of the President or Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, Tournament Director, and the Sergeant at Arms.  ARTICLE IV, SECTION 2, ITEM 2 may apply.
4. The emergency meeting date, time, and place shall be determined as agreed by notified or participating members or Officers of this Chapter.
5. The presence of or the consumption of drugs or alcoholic beverages shall be strictly prohibited at any Emergency Chapter meeting and shall cause expulsion from meeting of violating person/persons.
